UCM Athletics announces tailgating procedures for 2015 football season

2015 Football Tailgating Map & Policies

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- With the completion of The Crossing and the area surrounding Walton Stadium, the University of Central Missouri has announced new football tailgating procedures for the 2015 football season.

All designated tailgate lots will open three hours prior to kickoff and will stay open through the end of halftime. The pregame tailgate tent for Mule Train donors will still open two hours prior to kickoff and will be open to all levels of Mule Train donors. The Mule Train tailgate tent will once again be held in the grass area just to the west of Walton Stadium.

Lot FS13, just west of The Crossing, reopens this season as a Mule Train Lot for donors at the "Swing Team" level and above. Those Mule Train members at the Swing Team level and above will be issued a red parking pass upon entrance to the lots. Those Mule Train members at the Swing Team level and above may park in lots FS13, S41 and S42 on the north side of King Street, just west of Walton Stadium, and S52, the parking lot at the Police Academy at the corner of South and Washington Streets. This will allow Mule Train donors the closest available parking to Walton Stadium. Responsible tailgating will be allowed in these lots designated for Mule Train donors as well beginning three hours prior to kickoff.

Non-Mule Train members or those not at the Swing Team level and above can continue to park in lot S67 on the north side of south street, across the street from The Crossing. UCM fans wishing to park their RV's in a tailgate lot are asked to continue parking those vehicles in lot S67 as well to avoid congestion in the smaller Mule Train lots. Fans parking in lot S67 will be issued a blue parking pass upon entrance to that lot.

Fans will once again be able to gain access to Walton Stadium through the north end of the stadium with entrances re-opening this year. There will be ticket takers at both the northwest and northeast entrances to the stadium.

Visiting fans will continue to be allowed to park in lots S26 and FS1, which are located at the corner of Holden and South streets near the W.C. Morris Science Building and Ward Edwards Building. Visiting fans will be issued a yellow parking pass on entrance to those lots.

The first home action for the 2015 Mules football team is next Thursday, Sept. 3 as UCM hosts Missouri Western at 7 p.m.

In addition, the first Mule Train luncheon of the 2015-16 season will take place next Monday, August 31 at Heroes Restaurant & Pub, 107 West Pine Street in downtown Warrensburg. The luncheon will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. The cost of the buffet lunch will be $9 per person. Fall coaches will be on hand to discuss their upcoming seasons and there will also be a drawing for UCM prizes. All Mule Train donors and prospective donors are invited to attend.
