In 2012 (Indoor): Posted the top score in the nation in the season-opening Doane Happy Holidays Multi-Events, winning the heptathlon with 5,315 points ... Won the 55m hurdles (7.78), 1,000m run (2:39.08), and pole vault (14’ 5.25”) en route to his 2nd place finish at Doane ... Placed 9th of 11 in the shot put at the UCM Invitational (40’ 3.25”) ... missed the rest of the indoor and outdoor seasons due to injury.

In 2011: Won the decathlon at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships ... Vogel won the long jump, 400m dash and 1,500m run during the decathlon ... finished as the runner-up in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... A three-time MIAA champion in 2011, Vogel won the 600 Yd. run and heptathlon at the Indoor Championships, then won the decathlon at the Outdoor Championships ... also placed second in the 800m run at the MIAA Outdoor Championships ... Received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award.

In 2010: Four-time All-American ... Fourth-place in the heptathlon, second in the 4x400 relay at indoor nationals ... Finished third in the decathlon and fifth in the 4x400 relay at outdoor nationals ... Five time All-MIAA performer, thrice indoor and twice outdoor ... Indoor conference champion in 600 yard run, and on 4x400 relay team ... Outdoor conference champion in the 4x400 relay, third in the decathlon ... Moved into third on the Mules all-time list in the heptathlon and fifth in the decathlon ... Received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award.

In 2009: Took fifth in the 600 yard run at the indoor MIAA championships ... also led the Mules with the longest javelin throw of the year (153’ 7.75”) which scored at the MIAA meet ... Received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Award.

In high school: A state qualifier at Helias High School ... Part of school record 4x400 relay team ... Also an all-district free safety in football.

Personal: Biology major ... son of Michael and Edna Vogel.
